Kida may start with a little hesitation, but she always ends with “more pets please!” Kida is the kind of dog who will pick pets over snacks every single time, and honestly, we get it. This sweet, silly Husky-mix has come such a long way since we first met her. When she arrived at the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, she was a shut-down, unsure pup who didn’t quite know how to exist in the world. Now, after graduating from our program, she knows exactly what she wants: love, affection and her people close by! Once she feels comfortable, Kida is full of joy. She zooms simply because she’s happy to see you, leans in for more pets and brings playful, goofy energy to both her human and dog friends. She loves playing with other dogs, though her enthusiastic style can be a bit much at times, so she does best with thoughtful play and breaks. Kida warms up quickly and really blossoms with gentle, respectful snuggling. She enjoys walks and rides nicely in a crate in the car. She also loves a good zoom in the yard before settling in close for some quality time with her people.
