More about Benito

      Benito is 12 lbs, probably 2-3 years old, and perhaps he's a Pom-Chi. He's very smart, very sweet and wants very much to be a very good boy! He's a very happy guy with just 2 speeds - ping-pong ball bouncing happily around the room & cuddly love bug falling asleep in your lap. Benito makes us smile every day with his silly antics and his sweet affection. He's a little nervous and skeptical, but he thrives when his human is calm & confident. We've also noticed he gains confidence from the other foster dogs he's living with. (We haven't seen him with larger dogs or cats yet)   Here's some things that Benito is working on - Leash Training - it seems he's never been on a leash before and he thinks you're trying to strangle him with it. He still needs to gain some trust with the leash before we try taking him for a walk. House breaking - he's 99% there but still wears a diaper to prevent him from marking in the house. We expect this behavior to stop fully once he's neutered. He's an excellent rule follower and he'll do what you want if you're clear and confident with your communication... and if you understand that sometimes he just has ants in his pants and can't contain himself even though he's trying!   We think Benito would thrive in a home with other calm, confident dogs calm, confident humans (young kids are probably too unpredictable for him) a fully fenced yard (cuz he's just not ready for a leash yet)   Benito will have all his vaccinations and will be neutered before he is "officially" adopted, but that won't prevent him from joining your family now while he waits for that appointment.   Does Benito sound like the perfect match for your home?
