From my Dog Day Out Adventure Buddy:Anestasia was a little shy when we first met, but once she settled in, her gentle spirit really started to shine. She needed a little help getting into the car at first, but handled it well and proudly jumped out all on her own when we arrived. She loved feeling the breeze on her ears and taking in all the smells along the way.We spent the day on a shaded trail walk, where she showed that she’s much more of a “stop and smell the roses” kind of girl. After about a mile, she was ready to relax, roll in the grass, and enjoy some peaceful people watching. Her perfect day seems to include slow strolls, quiet company, and taking in the world around her.Anestasia met another pup during our outing and made it clear she’d enjoy a calm canine companion who likes walks, sniffing, and simply existing side by side. Roughhousing and mouthy play are not really her style, she’s much more interested in observing than wrestling.We also made a stop at Merritt’s for a little BLT treat (minus the “L” and “T” of course). The loud traffic made her a bit nervous at first, but once we moved to the quieter back patio, she relaxed and settled in nicely.Anestasia would thrive with someone patient and gentle who enjoys a slower-paced, homebody kind of lifestyle, think porch sitting, coffee mornings, neighborhood strolls, and peaceful companionship. While she’d never turn down an adventure, her heart is definitely more mellow than marathon hiker. She’s the kind of dog who reminds you to slow down and enjoy the little things.
