Meet beautiful little Phoebe (formerly Shandee) — a sweet 1½-year-old tortie with a story of survival and resilience. Phoebe was found outside wearing a “breakaway” collar that sadly didn’t break away. Instead, her front leg became trapped in the collar, causing a large wound beneath her shoulder. Once she was safely trapped and rescued, the collar was removed and she received veterinary care, including being spayed and treated for her injury. Because of the location of the wound, much of it was left to heal naturally so she could continue to comfortably use her leg — and she’s healing beautifully with loving care. Despite everything she’s been through, Phoebe remains incredibly gentle and affectionate. She loves pets, enjoys mealtime very much, and has the sweetest big round eyes that seem to ask for love and safety. Now this brave little girl is ready for the happy ending she deserves — a forever home where she will never have to struggle alone again.
