More about Faolan: Not At shelter

Found as an unkempt stray, but with the most loving attitude you can imagine, this boy showed up in a yard and wouldn't leave. After checking out his swollen paws, we can see that he is not comfortable walking on rough surfaces, and can only imagine the pain he was in as he strayed looking for someone to help him. The cause of the swollen paws is a mystery! There is no obvious reason he would be suffering from them, as there are no obvious scrapes, rashes, embedded seeds or rashes, and no urine scald like we might see in dogs that have been forced to stand in their own waste for an extended period of time.  We are giving him time to walk in the grass, and see if that makes a difference for his ability to get better! He is housetrained, has meet other dogs though not in depth, and we are giving him time.  PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA.
