Poppy is a retired breeder dog who is learning to be a pet. Her potty training is coming along great. Poppy very seldom has an accident in the house.  However, her leash training is a work in progress.  She’s just not quite there yet.  She, like many former breeder dogs, didn’t have the opportunity to learn these essentials as a puppy, so it takes a bit longer to train her.  Our little Poppy is just looking for a home where she will be loved and given the patience, understanding, and structure needed to learn.  Poppy is smart and food-motivated, so training should be an easy process if you are consistent. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten.
