She thrives in a calm, respectful environment and forms wonderful bonds with people who understand feline boundaries. When she feels safe and comfortable, she is affectionate, engaging, and truly a fantastic companion.Rumi does best with people who understand and respect cat body language and who are willing to let her set the pace for interaction. She enjoys affection on her terms and appreciates a quieter, lower-stress home environment.Because of her personality, Rumi would do best in a home without young children and would likely be happiest with calm, respectful animals or as an only pet. We are cautious about homes with dogs, as fast-paced or overly pushy interactions would likely be stressful for her.Rumi is not the kind of kitten who wants constant handling, but for the right person, she will be an incredibly rewarding companion.
