Oliver 2 years old | 14 lbs | Wire-haired terrier mix Meet Oliver — a wire-haired whirlwind with a big-dog personality packed into a small, scruffy frame. This 14-pound firecracker spends his days prancing from one adventure to the next, chasing tennis balls until his legs give out and engineering creative solutions to the garbage can lid situation. His sparkling eyes are basically a warning label for sock theft. For all his feisty bravado, Oliver has a tender side too. Loud noises like thunder send him sprinting for cover, and new people can make him a little uncertain — he'd much rather assess someone from a safe distance before deciding they're worthy of his affections. Once you've earned his trust, though, you have a fiercely loyal companion for life. Oliver is looking for an all-female household where he can truly relax and feel secure. Men and even younger boys make him very anxious. He blossoms with patient, calm energy and will reward that safety with endless personality, snuggles, and the occasional stolen sneaker.
