If you’re the kind of person who believes in giving a shy dog the time they need to feel safe, Hershey just might be your perfect match! Hershey is a sweet, gentle little soul with the cutest smile and a happy wiggle that turns into a full-on dance when you walk through the door. ❤️ That “welcome home” excitement? It’s her signature move—and it’s pretty hard not to fall in love. She is guessed to be approx. 1.5yrs old She didn’t have the easiest start in life, coming from a situation where she lived outdoors with many other dogs, so new people and new experiences can feel a little scary at first. Because of that, Hershey just needs a little patience and time to build confidence. Once she trusts you she truly blossoms into a loving and loyal companion who just wants to be close and soak up affection. She might have a little beagle in her, so she can be a bit vocal, but she’s been doing wonderfully with the “no bark” command—even when the neighbor dogs are carrying on (we’re so proud of her!). She enjoys lounging on the back patio, quietly watching the world go by, and is fully housebroken. Hershey might need a little extra support at dealing with some allergies but nothing unmanageable. What she gives in return is something really special!! ❤️  Her best fit is a patient family with a quieter home, fenced in yard b/c she does not do well on a leash and a social dog friend.    Apply www.4paws4rescue.com
