Breed: Lab/Husky Mix Estimated DOB: 06/01/2025 Sex: Female (spayed) Weight: 35-40 lbs Currently up to date on all age appropriate vaccinationsLast summer, we welcomed a litter of puppies we called the "Jersey Shore pups" after they were dumped at an elementary school. But one sweet girl had to stay behind… and that was Avalon. She had been stepped on or hit by a car as a young puppy, which left her left rear limb non-functional and severely deformed - it was fixed in full flexion and couldn't be moved or used to touch the ground. After months of medical care and physical therapy in Mississippi to build her strength, amputation of her left rear limb was the best solution to give her the best quality of life. Now officially a tripawd, Avalon adjusted beautifully to her three-legged life and absolutely rocks! TLC has stood by her every step of the way, covering all her medical care and waiting for the day she was strong enough to travel north - and that day is finally here! "The most dog" dog you'll ever meet - classic, happy to see you, tail wagging, ball chasing kind of girl Gets excited to go on her leash and explore outside but is just as excited to crash into your lap on the couch or play with a toy Does great on daily walks HUGE cuddle bug who wants to be as close to you as possible and loves joining you on the couch - will push herself onto your lap or under your arm when she feels left out Loves toys - chewing on bones, tossing around soft toys and tennis balls, and snoozing on dog beds Does well with a puzzle feeder at mealtimes to help her slow down Goofy girl who sometimes likes to find her own cozy hideaway spot behind her crate or under furniture Absolutely loves playtime, especially fetch, and gets the most impressive zoomies you've ever seen - nothing stops this tripawd girl!
