But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on May 1st and arrive on May 2nd, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 3/29/26 Dog Name: Max Sex: Male Estimated Breed: Terrier Mix Approximate Age: 1-2 years Approximate Weight: 18-22 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Neutered  Description: Max was found on a hot Texas day-so thirsty, hungry and lost. He was exhausted and likely overheating, after about an hour of working and following him out Texas rescue partners were able to gain his trust and secure him. He is shy, it doesn’t seem that he has had kind owners in the past. He is taking treats gently and loves being pet, he is learning that he isn’t a burden and there are people who will protect him. We love watching this boy transform and come out of his shell. He has a cute scruffy coat that will require minimal grooming, he doesn’t seem to shed much and he loves his new comfy bed!  Adoption Fee: $450
