Hi, I’m Gilbert. I used to live a big, adventurous life out on the streets, so I’m still warming up and learning that people can be kind and safe. I really do want love and attention, I promise, but I can be a little shy at first. Sometimes I might give a tiny hiss when I’m nervous, it’s just my way of saying “I’m trying!” Every day, I’m working on my social skills, being braver, and building my confidence. The idea of a cozy home, soft beds, and gentle humans is starting to sound pretty amazing. I just need someone patient and understanding to help me come out of my shell at my own pace. Once I feel safe, I’ll be your sweetest companion, loving and always by your side.
