More about Lincoln

Meet LINCOLN, a darling little Bichon Frise boy. He's a friendly chap who thrives on attention. Lincoln is a velcro dog, his happy place is in your lap. Lincoln loves his squeaky toys. He's good with kitties and enjoys the companionship of other smallish dogs so we'd like to find him a home with another friendly dog. Lincoln came to us in a severely matted state, so he had to be closely clipped in order to get rid of mats and make him comfortable. Lincoln will require regular grooming, his adopter must be prepared for that expense. Keeping a long-haired dog groomed isn't just a cosmetic issue, it is a health issue. Matting can cause skin problems, discomfort, infections and other problems. Preference will be given to applicants with small, long-haired dog experience. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter.  Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
