More about Bananagram
Adoption fee: $800 Bananagram is an 8 month old, 44 lb Goldendoodle with a stunning red, non-shedding coat and a heart that is just as soft as her curls. She came to our rescue as an owner surrender through no fault of her own, and from the moment she arrived it was clear that she is simply a joy to be around. Sweet, affectionate, and eager to make friends, Bananagram approaches life with the kind of warmth that makes people fall for her instantly. Her days start bright and early around 7 a.m. with her first walk of the day. After stretching her legs and taking in the morning sights, she enjoys breakfast around 7:45. During the day, Bananagram is happy to lounge nearby while her foster mom goes about her routine. Sometimes she curls up on her dog bed, other times she claims a cozy spot on the couch, but wherever she is, she likes to keep an eye on her people. At night, she happily snuggles up to sleep with her foster mom— Bananagram is very much a “close to my humans” kind of girl. Personality-wise, Bananagram is the definition of sweet and cuddly. She loves physical touch, thrives on affection, and has a special talent for giving hugs that will melt your heart. She’s the type of dog who happily follows her humans from room to room, just to be part of whatever is happening. She also enjoys giving kisses and curling up next to you on the couch for some quality snuggle time. Despite her size, she has a very gentle presence in the home— and impressively, she rarely barks. Like many young doodles, Bananagram has plenty of puppy energy. She gets the zoomies a couple of times a day and benefits from multiple walks— three per day has been her sweet spot so far. She loves being outdoors and recently joined her foster on a trail walk, which she absolutely adored. Exploring nature, sniffing new smells, and stretching her long legs are some of her favorite activities. By evening, though, the zoomies give way to a more relaxed side, and she’s perfectly content to wind down and lounge with her people. On leash, Bananagram is improving quickly. When she first arrived she pulled more, but she’s already making great progress and is learning how to walk more politely. Because the world still feels new and exciting to her, she often likes to pause and take everything in— watching people, observing her surroundings, and sometimes stopping to greet passersby. She’s a very friendly dog and enjoys saying hello. Bananagram has shown that she does well with other dogs. She recently spent time with another Goldendoodle named Penny and seemed very comfortable, even following Penny’s lead in new situations. She was friendly, respectful, and showed no signs of aggression. We think she would do nicely in a home with another dog, though she would also be happy as the center of attention. As a young dog who is still learning the ropes, Bananagram will need a family that is ready to continue her training. She did not have any training prior to her arrival in the rescue, so she's a blank slate, but eager to please! What truly makes Bananagram special, though, are her hugs. She has a way of leaning into you and wrapping you up in affection that feels like a genuine embrace. It’s the kind of sweet, loving gesture that perfectly captures who she is: a dog who just wants to love and be loved. If you’re looking for a beautiful young doodle with a playful spirit, a cuddly heart, and a lot of love to give, Bananagram might be the perfect addition to your family.
