Meet Brutus, a 5-year-old neutered Australian Shepherd who is as smart as he is active. He is about 65 pounds. A true working dog, Brutus is happiest when he has a job to do—whether that’s a never-ending game of fetch or mastering a new trick. He’s already a pro at "sit" and "down," and is 100% housebroken. Brutus is looking for a confident, experienced owner who can provide the firm leadership and mental stimulation he craves. Without a "boss" and plenty of exercise, he can get a bit bored and destructive with his toys. He is playful with kids and tolerant of cats (though he’ll chase them if they run!), but he can be selective with other dogs. If you’re a strong-willed individual ready for a loyal, high-energy partner, Brutus is ready to clock in! As an added bonus, Brutus rides amazing in the car. He hops right up, and remains quiet, maybe just looking at you for reassurance at times, and is happy to get out when called too!    If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application.  Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice.
