MEET CHICKEE - (FOSTER HOME DESPERATELY NEEDED) Dog is located in Leesburg, FL. (Courtesy Listing for Luv-A-Bull All Breed Rescue of South Florida) For lack of a foster home, the rescue is PAYING to board him at a local hospital - $$$- so we are desperate to get him into a local foster home until he is placed in a new forever home.  This goofy, wiggly handsome lapdog is an English/American bulldog mix, about 4 years old, weighs 55 lbs., neutered, chipped, up to date on all vaccines, crate trained (but not needed), knows and obeys most commands; sit, stay, down, etc., is well behaved in the home when left alone, loves his toys, and is totally and completely housebroken.  He seems to be dog friendly when on walks, but has never lived with another dog. AND - we just learned that he FETCHES and brings the ball back! -- He has not been around children or cats and would not be a good match in a home with a an elder as he could easily trip her up.  With his Bully brain, he decided he liked his daddy-to-be more than his mama who adopted him 2 years before - and was returned to the rescue because of his protective guarding. Note: He has never bitten or harmed anyone, but erring on the side of caution and safety -- we are looking for "a one person forever home" for this chubby bundle --OR-- a home where he can meet BOTH parents at the same time.   Chickee is currently in Lake County -- Soon to be relocated to Broward County. NOTE: Adoption/rehoming fees are applied towards the vet bill: exam, blood tests, vaccinations, fecal, worming, spay/neuter, dental if necessary, and a microchip. There is rarely anything left over, but if that happens, the monies get applied to the next or previous pet - who may have had to have an x-ray, be groomed or have a dental.
