More about Ziggy

Forever home waned, meet Ziggy!! Sweet Ziggy was picked up by animal control as a stray in Long Beach on March 1st. No collar. No tag. No microchip. After the required hold period was up and no one came looking for him, we went over and swooped him up! He is chilling in a foster home enjoying the first quiet and comfortable night he's had in who knows how long.  Best guess from the vet is that this adorable young man is about 5 months old. He currently weighs about 41 pounds but seems like this shelter experience wasn't great for him and he could stand to put on a few pounds.  He's currently in a foster home with four other large dogs and gets along fine with them. He is friendly with people and all dogs we've encountered. After a few hours in the foster home, he ate a nice dinner and started to show an interest in his new stuffies! He seems to walk pretty good on the leash and rode nicely in a crate from the shelter to his foster home. Ziggy is an amazing puppy which makes him landing in the shelter more mind boggling. He’s potty trained and sleeps on a dog bed in the room with his foster brothers and sisters, sleeping through the night! He loves to play fetch and can entertain himself with his toys. He wrestles and plays with his much larger foster pups. He also knows some basic commands.
