More about Pixie

Pixie is a gentle, hopeful young dog who is learning to trust people. She is shy with new people, but once she feels safe, her whole body wiggles with excitement. Pixie wants connection—she’s simply still learning how to accept it. Since entering foster care, Pixie has made steady progress. She now allows brief snuggles and enjoys being close to her trusted humans. She will need a patient, understanding family willing to let her grow at her own pace. Any children in the home needs to be at least 6 years of age.  Pixie thrives in a calm, structured home where her people are not gone for long hours. She requires at least one confident, friendly dog—preferably a male of similar size—to help her feel secure. She loves to run, play,  so a secure, physical fenced yard attached to the home is essential. Pixie is not an instant cuddle dog, but with time and consistency, she will become a deeply loyal, rewarding companion. She also requires regular professional grooming. Pixie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
