More about Oscar
Oscar is a sensitive, affectionate dog who has made tremendous progress since entering foster care. Initially unsure of people, he has learned to enjoy indoor living and forms strong bonds once he feels safe. He takes time to warm up to new individuals, but when he does, he becomes a devoted snuggler who loves staying close to his people. Oscar needs a calm, patient home where he is not left alone for long periods. He is uncomfortable around small children, so any kids in the home must be 10 years or older. He enjoys the company of other dogs and does best with female dogs of similar size or smaller. His ideal home includes at least one compatible canine companion. He loves to run and explore outdoors and requires a secure, physical fenced yard attached to the home; underground or invisible fencing is not appropriate for him. Oscar is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. He was heartworm‑positive upon intake but has completed treatment and is now healthy and ready for adoption. Oscar is looking for a patient, understanding family who will give him the time he needs to adjust. In return, he will offer deep loyalty, affection, and a joyful presence
