Meet Zade, a 5-year-old Labradoodle weighing 57 pounds, who is as close to “the total package” as they come. Zade recently spent time in a home, and while his adopters were absolutely heartbroken to return him due to allergies, they described him as perfect. It’s easy to see why. He already knows “sit” and “shake,” and he loves a good game of fetch. Even better, he brings the ball back and releases it like a pro. He appears to have good recall and truly enjoys being near his people, whether that means playing or settling in for some quality cuddle time. Zade is crate-trained and does great overnight, even going into his crate on his own at bedtime. He also appears to be house-trained, as he will go to the door and wait when he needs to go outside. He is great with other dogs and is typically a quiet, easygoing presence in the home. The only time he tends to speak up is when someone comes to the door, making sure to alert his people. Zade has a wonderful balance of energy and affection. He enjoys staying active but is just as happy to relax and snuggle up with his people. He is looking for a home where he can be part of the family and continue being the well-rounded, loving dog everyone who meets him falls for. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
