More about Clancy
Clancy is a 2-year-old cuddlebug looking for his forever home.Clancy is incredibly friendly and trusting. After being found outside, he immediately leaned into pets and confidently walked right indoors when his foster opened the door. He is a talkative guy who loves to have full conversations, happily meowing back in response to whatever you say. His purr is loud and steady like a car engine, and he can keep it going for minutes at a time, especially when greeting someone new or welcoming you home after a long day.In the mornings, Clancy often likes to say hello by sitting on your chest and purring. On sleepier days, he waits patiently until he hears breakfast being prepared, then perks up right away. After he eats, he is ready to burn off energy by pouncing on a wand toy or chasing a spring across the floor. He enjoys interactive play and will stalk a toy as you drag it around a corner or flutter it in front of him. If you toss a spring, he can entertain himself for a few minutes, but he much prefers playing together. For much of the day, Clancy is happy to nap in a cozy corner or near the door where he can keep watch. When he wakes up, he likes to roll around and show his belly before taking a break from lounging to curl up in your lap. He currently lives in an apartment with one human and has adjusted well to that environment.Clancy would thrive in a home where he receives plenty of attention. Whether you work outside the home and dedicate quality time to him in the evenings or work from home and can share your day, he will be happiest with someone who engages with him often. He enjoys having visitors and would do well in a lively household, though a home with older children or adults would be best since he can sometimes become overstimulated.Clancy does occasionally nip when he is feeling especially playful or overstimulated, particularly when he gets very excited during attention or playtime. This can usually be redirected with a wand toy or by giving him a few quiet minutes in another room. Carrying a toy and tossing it to shift his focus is often helpful. With patience, gentleness, and an understanding of his playful nature, Clancy settles quickly and continues being the affectionate, charming companion he truly is.- - - - - - - - - - - - -There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown.
