Meet Koko!2/25/26 - Here is what Koko's foster family has to say:Koko is such a sweet, energetic kitten. When she's not running around playing with her best friend Poplar, she's quite literally rolling around on top of my lap or shoulders purring away and asking for pets. She is so funny to watch explore new places, as she's very curious and will usually warm up to any new additions to her environment quickly. She loves to chase, whether that's running after Poplar, a ping pong ball, or anything else that moves, and will even play fetch with you if you find a toy she can carry. She is so good at sharing treats and toys, and is determined to get her not-so-enthused foster sibling, Hazel, to warm up to her -- certainly shows a lot about Koko's friendliness and desire to see everyone have fun! She is such a delight to have around and always puts a smile on my face (especially when she's taking a break from playtime and spooning with Poplar!).Original Rescue Story:  This little itty bitty senorita comes to us from Ensenada. She is currently fostered in North Park along with fellow foster brother Poplar.  Both of them are such sweet kitties and became fast friends. It took them a day to be friends and they would be a great duo! It is not needed for them to be adopted together, BUT they are required to be adopted into a home with another cat if not adopted together. Our adoption fee is higher than city shelters because we retroviral test our rescue cats, unlike city shelters like SDHS and other rescues. Koko is FeLV/FIV negative and is fully vetted.  IF home checks, landlord approvals, and the adoption fee is not a determining factor for you to adopt, please submit an application today!
