More about Julie

Julie is a sweet a black and tan German Shepherd who’s is a recent addition to our pack at the Ranch. While at the shelter, she also did well when a dog to dog interaction evaluation was conducted with another dog. Since she's been here she has shown us how much she likes dogs and is interested in playing. (**Please keep in mind that dogs that pass the evaluation process does not necessarily mean they will get along with every single dog. Dogs and their evaluations are based on the chemistry that they have with the particular dog they are with.) Having come from the scare shelter environment, Julie is slowly learning that her new life is now one full of love and support. She is learning that humans can be safe. Each day, Julie is relaxing more and more especially as her circle of human friends grows. For those she knows, she loves receiving affection and is happy to return affection back. We are excited to see her personality bloom as she settles in more. Please stay tuned as we get to know Julie better and watch her story unfold. More information will be posted as it becomes available. Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way! Please visit http://www.coastalk9gsr.org/ to learn more about our dogs. Click on available dogs to see further descriptions. If you are interested in me, please contact us at [email protected] or call (858) 779-9149. Don't forget to fill out our online application.   The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.
