Meet GRU ❤️ A true miracle boy Just minutes away from losing his life, GRU sat quietly in a kennel at Contra Costa Animal Services, not knowing his time was almost up. No family. No one coming. Just a lonely, scared soul waiting for a miracle… and that miracle finally came. GRU is a 2-year-old German Shepherd / Australian Kelpie mix, weighing 56 lbs, and he is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He is wonderful with other dogs, loves to play, and has the gentlest, sweetest heart. Despite being failed by humans, GRU still trusts. He still loves. He still hopes. He leans in for affection, wags his tail with pure joy, and just wants to belong to someone. All he wants is a safe place, a soft bed, a full belly, and a human to love him forever. No dog should have their life end in a shelter. GRU deserved more — and now he finally has a chance.
