More about Plan B
Finding the perfect dog is rarely a straight line—sometimes you need a Plan B.And let’s be honest: Plan B is usually the better choice anyway! This sweet girl came to us as a pregnant mama, and after successfully raising a litter of "little contraceptives" (yes, her puppies were named things like Vas(ectomy) and Mirena), she is officially retired from motherhood and ready for her own "Happily Ever After."Here is why Plan B should be your Plan A: The Sweetest SoulPlan B is the definition of a "velcro dog" in the best way possible. She is as sweet as pie and lives for snuggles. If there is a spot on the couch next to you, she’ll find it. She is super affectionate and remarkably gentle for a young adult dog. A Patient QueenWe knew she was special when she let a 6-year-old foster child help handle her tiny newborn puppies. She didn't have a protective bone in her body; she just watched with a wagging tail. If she can handle a curious 6-year-old and a litter of six puppies, she can handle just about anything! Social & Chill Other Dogs: She’s been a social butterfly with every dog she’s met so far. Energy Level: She’s a "middle-of-the-road" girly. She’s happy to go for a stroll, but she’s definitely not a high-octane athlete. She prefers a "Netflix and Chill" lifestyle over a marathon. The Look: The shelter calls her a Cattle Dog mix because of her adorable speckles, but we think she’s a "certified 100% Mystery Mix." Whatever she is, she’s gorgeous. Home Manners Potty Training: She is "trip trained," meaning she thrives on a consistent routine. As long as you keep her on her schedule, she’s a pro! The Crate: She is technically crate trained, though she’d much prefer to be snoozing on a rug (or your bed) instead.Plan B is ready to stop being a mom and start being a spoiled companion. She spent so long taking care of everyone else; now it’s her turn to be taken care of.Are you ready to make her your first choice? If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.) To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. PLEASE READ: • If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this. • All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date. • Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments. Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well. Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation. For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.
