More about Copper
If you’re looking for cuddly, sweet, and playful… meet your boy, CopperCopper is 5 months old and his wonderful personality is shining through: affectionate, curious, and always happy to be part of the action. He loves snuggling up with his people, playful zoomies, sniffing out sticks and acorns and soaking in every new adventure. He enjoys rides in the car and will try to get in every time he walks by it.He is smart and very food motivated making training easy. He’s mastered sit, paw, touch and “watch me”, he has a solid start with most of the basic commands (down, wait, here, no, drop it) and is quickly learning more commands.Copper settles well in his crate at night and is sleeping through until morning. he's house trained with a good routine, often going to the door to remind you it’s time to go out.Because he is such a social butterfly, (he hasn't met a person or dog that he doesn't want to be friends with) he's looking for a family that is home more often than not. He's working hard at being a "brave boy" during short separations, when he hears you in the house he really wants to be your shadow. As for breed mix, we truly don’t know. Mama is absolutely gorgeous, but every puppy in this litter looks different. Based on mom and overall build, we are estimating they may fall somewhere in the 40 to 60 pound range fully grown, but that is just an educated guess. With mixed breed puppies, there are no guarantees. is already altered and ready for his forever family. If you’re prepared for all the structure, training, and commitment that comes with raising a puppy, he’s accepting applications now. This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.) To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. PLEASE READ: • If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this. • All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date. • Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments. Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well. Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation. For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.
