Sable is a beautiful 1½-year-old Husky mix who came to us as a stray from Vallejo on 2/4/26. With no microchip and no one coming forward to claim her, she’s now ready to start a new chapter with a loving family.At first glance, Sable may appear shy—but don’t let that fool you. She bravely comes to the front of her kennel to greet new people, her tail wagging softly, and she happily accepts gentle pets. While she can be startled by loud noises or fast movements, she recovers quickly and continues to show her sweet, resilient nature.Sable is easy to leash and walks nicely, though she sometimes does a little “stop and go” as she takes in the world around her. She’s still building confidence, and with patient guidance, she’ll continue to blossom.When meeting other dogs, Sable may be a bit unsure at first. With a little time, she warms up and shows interest in playing! She would do best with calm, gentle canine companions who won’t overwhelm her with too much energy. A peaceful home environment will help her feel safe and secure. Because she’s sensitive to noise and commotion, a quieter home without young children would be ideal.Sable is looking for a patient adopter who will help her build confidence at her own pace.
