This sweet pup is named Skye and he is looking for an immediate permanent home or a within 50 miles of Minerva, Ohio Foster home. He doesn't need referrals to other rescues, etc. he just needs a real home. Reason for Relinquish: Personal family issues. No fault of Skye's who is just turning 8 months old. Lanky and Skinny and his ears have yet to decide their direction and he still has his puppy coat. ABCA registered Red Merle from litter of 7, rough coat. Absolutely an interesting coloration that gets lots of complements and attention. Very people friendly. Indoors only and has lots of energy which will require both training and a good job. Not good on a leash he pulls. Loves to jump up on everyone. Not a counter surfer, not aggressive. doesn't get into the garbage not destructive in the house. No nips or bites reported. Likes cats good with other dogs. No guarding issues noted. You can take his food bowl and pet while feeding. He will release and give you the toy. Likes both genders in humans and dogs. He is housebroke and crate trained. But he is still a puppy and needs training and more socializing always. He has gone through 2 puppy classes but as they all do needs more obedience work and either sports or a worthy job. It's time for Skye to get into the hands that will help him grow into his best paws. He's got some smarts and looks and he's all Border Collie so that is a good start.
