Meet Armani, the fluffy mixed breed! We are guessing that he is part poodle, part terrier… 100% cuteness! Armani came into the Shelter as a stray so we don’t have history about his life before the Shelter. He did arrive with his friend Georgio (who is also up for adoption). Staff have observed that Armani has been social and easy to handle since his arrival. He enjoys the company of his friend Georgio and has also met other dogs. Staff observed that during meet and greets with other small sized dogs, they kept to themselves. A home with another dog may be a fit but Armani may be more of a coexister. Armani is not required to be adopted with Georgio but could be. Armani is ready to fall in love this Valentine’s Day. Could it be with you?Armani is available for preadoption at this time – come in, fall in love and you can take him home after his neuter surgery!Now through February 15th, all adoption fees are reduced to $33 - come to the Shelter today to adopt your very own Valentine!The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering “Pawsitivity Bucks” with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw!Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
