Are you looking for a highly trainable high energy dog that's also sweet and loving and full of personality? That's me! ! I’m Ember Ash and I’m a 1 year old female shepherd mix looking for my forever home! I’m on the smaller side for a shepherd, at only about 20 lbs but could stand to gain a few pounds. I'm soft and love to get pets from my people and love to hang on the couch with them too!   I'm guarded around new people who are trying to interact with me or come to my home but am easily won over with some treats. I’m good with other dogs and I'm ok with cats but may try to chase them if they run. There is a small human in my home that I do well with, and even remember not to jump on him! My foster mom has been working on my confidence going places and meeting new people. I'm fine with walking around in stores near people but if they try to interact I bark at them. Once I get a treat and am assured they aren't dangerous I'm fine. I am more cautious around strange men, but love to cuddle with my foster dad.   I haven’t had any accidents in the house and let you know with a polite whine when I need to go out. I am quiet in my crate at night and during the day when needed. I have also been good left out, but I do like to eat #2 pencils if available.   I LOVE to train and am very smart. I know sit, stay, down, back, and would love to learn more! I would probably be fantastic at some sort of dog sport. I’m working on not pulling on the leash, so I still need some leash training. I have a lot of the shepherd goofball energy, but can also settle and cuddle. I’m building my confidence to be able to go on adventures. The car is a little scary, but I’m getting more used to it.
