Hello, I’m Daisy, a sweet and mature lady of almost nine years, searching for my forever home. My story began on an enclosed porch where I was born to a feral mama, and I later lived in a home with my sisters until our person could no longer care for us. I’ve come a long way since then, and I’m ready to find someone special of my own.I truly love being petted, but I need a little patience while I learn to trust you. I feel most comfortable in my chosen “safe zones” like my favorite chair, the couch, the bed, or an ottoman beside you while you work. When I’m ready, I’ll gently place my paws on your arm to ask for pets. I prefer to keep all four paws on solid ground rather than sitting in laps, but I promise I’ll still be close.I do have a bit of a refined palate. I absolutely adore my chicken treats and will happily take them right from your hand. After a tasty snack, I’ll settle in beside you and enjoy long, gentle pets along my cheeks, head, and down my back to the base of my tail.I’m also an inquisitive lady with a playful side. I enjoy wand toys, catnip toys, and I have my own daily zoomie moments. You’ll often find me perched on a window shelf, at the top of a cat tree, or tucked into my cozy little cat house, keeping an eye on everything with my bright green eyes.I will do best with a patient, cat-savvy human who understands that love doesn’t always look the same for every cat. I may seem reserved at first, but that is just how I protect myself. Once I feel safe, my walls come down, and that is when you’ll hear my deep, rumbling purr as I sit beside you, soaking up affection in the places I feel most secure.I’ve lived with other cats, but I like to be in charge and keep track of everything going on. Because of that, I would likely be happiest as your one and only, in a home where my people are around often to keep me company.I may always be a little careful, but I also have so much love to give in my own quiet, meaningful way. The bond we build will be something truly special, earned through patience and trust.I’ve learned to love and trust before, and I know I can do it again. I just need the right person.
