More about Mae
Welcome Mae! Mae is a Border Collie/ Aussie / kelpie mix. She was intentionally bred by some ranchers and then kicked to the curb at a very young age because she didn’t show working potential. Some former CCHDR adopters got wind of this and took her in temporarily - got her spayed, up to date on vaccines, and then reached out to us for help with placement. Mae is super sweet and friendly with people, kids, and other dogs. NO cats, chickens, or livestock. She’s HIGH energy and intelligent…all the things you’d expect from a dog of this breed makeup. She’s young too - only 9 months old, 30-35lbs. She’s got some manners and basic obedience to learn, but has her wits about her. She just needs a dedicated and training-focused handler to make up for lost time. She is crate trained. Mae is looking to be someone’s pet. She will need an active, breed-savvy home to keep up with her mentally and physically. Do you have what it takes to keep a dog of this caliber fulfilled? If so, send us an application.
