More about JASMINE
Meet Jasmine, the Doberman! Jasmine arrived at the Shelter after her previous guardian passed away and there was no one able to take Jasmine in. She has been described as calm, polite and quiet since her arrival to the Shelter. Family members that knew her previously describe her as a great lap dog â just wanting love and hugs. She would go to the dog park but was sometimes a rough player. We have not observed that at the Shelter and have noted that she has been polite in introductions to dogs small and large. She has been around cats and avoids interaction with them. A home with felines may be a fit with a slow, thoughtful introduction. She has a history of doing well with children in her previous home. Jasmine is very food motivated and will sometimes try to steal food from other dogs of the opportunity presents. Now through February 15th, all adoption fees are reduced to $33 - come to the Shelter today to adopt your very own Valentine! The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering âPawsitivity Bucksâ with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw! Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
