Meow meet Joy! This sweet 7 year old tabby girl has had her world turned upside down. After losing her beloved owner suddenly, she found herself in a foster home, confused and grieving the life she once knew. It took time for her to feel safe again, but even through all the change, her gentle heart never faded.  She arrived at the rescue with her brother Sonny, while they grew up together, they are not bonded and can be adopted separately. This sweet girl has a calm, affectionate nature. She adores being pet and will quickly start up her happy, rumbling purrs when you give her attention. Joy even enjoys gentle belly rubs - something only the most trusting cats allow. She’s the kind of companion who simply wants to be near you, soaking up love and gently returning it. At the rescue she has the run of the room but her favorite place is a cozy cubby in one of the cat towers. From there she watches everything going on in between her cat naps of course. What she really wants is a home again - a warm lap, a gentle hand, and someone to love her for the rest of her life. She has so much affection still to give, and she is just waiting for the person who will see her, choose her, and make sure she never feels alone again.
