More about Cooper @ The Cat's Brew

Cooper is such a fun cat, sweet and affectionate as well. He is very handsome of course and has many of the "standard orange boy traits". He is very vocal mostly in order for him to gain attention as he really just wants to hang out with people and does not yet understand when our volunteers cannot spend the entire day with him. Cooper did live with other cats so would happy to join a large cat family or happy to be your one and only (again he really loves people). Cooper was a surrender when his person passed away. The family was unable to continue to care for them (four cats). ****During Cooper's neuter appointment, it was noted that he has a heart murmur. This is not necessarily rare, nor life threatening. Most cats live a long and "normal" life with this condition. Thanks to our friends at The Cat's Brew, their backgrounds, and resources we were able to get some further information on Cooper's condition through an appointment with a cat/cardio specialist who provided a specific exam and ECHO for Cooper. He does have an enlarged valve in his heart, this condition does not require treatment at this time and does NOT provide any issues for Cooper's daily life, health, or adoptability. (He is still playful and so LOVING) His forever family will be provided all of his medical documentation so they can work with their own vet. Cooper is set for a follow-up ECHO in six months that will be covered for the adopter, as long as he is able to be brought back to Sun Prairie/Madison area. AGAIN, this does in any way make Cooper "sick" or "unhealthy" but we want to note this in his bio so that potential adopters can have all the information ahead of time. Cooper is one of the most loving cats we have met, he could make an amazing soul or support cat and is certainly looking for a human that is willing to do the same for him.
