More about Nala

Name: Nala Spice level: ️️ Age: 2 yrs Breed: chi mix Gender: female Weight: 12 lbs Good with kids: older (respectful teens and up) would likely be best if any Good with dogs: yes, but she isn't a huge fan of sharing her space with young puppies Good with cats: unknown Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: Yes Adoption also includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Foster location: Green Bay Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio: Meet the spicy little weirdo of your dreams!  Nala joins us from a shelter a few hours away. She raised a bit of heck after her admission, so of course we liked what we heard! The caring shelter staff showed her love and consistency to help her break out of her shell, and we are the lucky rescue who gets to help her find her forever! Nala unfortunately experienced a false pregnancy. The shelter staff provided support, and got her through it. She had to wait an additional six weeks after arriving to be spayed, but thats all taken care of now.  Now, onto the spice. It takes Nala some time to warm up to new people, you have to go at her pace. Let her approach you. She does better meeting company at the house, than making new human friends out and about. It is however doable with patience and respect. Basically you have to like the chi breed and the mischief they bring if you are interested in Nala. She can take a moment to warm up to other dogs, especially new fosters coming in- but becomes their best friend in a short time. She is fostered with mostly seniors, but has some younger friends come through she enjoys playing with as well. She could absolutely thrive as an only dog- and is the epitome of loyal after she has had time to decompress. Nala warmed up to the lady of the house first- so whoever is home more often will likely become her first best friend. She will bark at new people entering the house, and comes in hot- but within a few minutes she is approaching for pets. She acts a bit tough initially, but quickly drops the act and cooperates with being picked up, etc Nala's transition from home to home should be smoother upon adoption, but coming out of the shelter was a major change for her. Decompression takes time, but home girl wouldn’t touch the first two meals she was offered. She didn't want to eat if she is completely alone- but was hyper focused on rejoining the other dogs. With a little work and a lot of patience, you'll get so much love. This one will be a tough one for her foster family to let go, but we know her amazing forever home is out there! Our Pack Animal Rescue,  Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. An approved application does not mean you must adopt the dog of interest, if it isn't a good fit.
