My name is Henrietta Pussycat, mommy to the Mister Rogers Litter of 3. I was found as a stray in Mexico and made my way to MN with three beautiful baby boys. I always have a smile on my face for you and want to just cuddle with my humans more than anything else (and get all the belly rubs). My bug eyes make me look like I’m always a little surprised…and maybe I am…but I just feel lucky to be here. I am potty trained and haven’t had any accidents in the house (and in the severe cold I use potty pads). I am good in a kennel or pen, and really like having my own “space.” When I first meet you, I might be a little shy or timid, but with trust, treats and tail waggin’ pets, I will definitely come to you for all the love. I definitely would do best with a family with some patience to allow me time to figure things out and gain the confidence I am working towards. For that reason, older considerate children would be best.  I would be perfectly happy being the only dog and getting all the attention. Although I do love the female dogs in my foster home, especially the Great Pyrenees.  I am learning to be a “pet” dog. I don’t fully understand toys yet but have been working on puzzle toys with my babies, and have been “caught” engaging with toys by my human. I like meal toppers on my food…like many of my chi-buddies, I am a little picky with my food. I really like a wet food pate mixed with my kibble, or shredded mozzarella. Surprisingly….not a huge fan of peanut butter. I love treats though…mostly chicken tendons and jerkys as well as biscuits. Oh…and the whipped cream pup cup gets me every time!I am very treat motivated, and have been learning a few basic obedience things…but mostly we have been working on building confidence. I am learning to wait for treats to take them more gently. I am very attentive to my human and am good at following her directions while training. She says I am very smart and could become my best doggy self with a patient human. Are you the family for me? I always have a happy face for my human and just love to be near you! Belly rubs are my absolute favorite! Foster mom says that she can tell that I just want to please the humans…get the cuddles…and eat all the treats! I would do great with any family who wants to help train me to be my best self. I would be ok being the only dog in the household and soak up all the love for myself! Fill out an app to meet me…you won’t be disappointed!Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
