Dolly is a low-key girl overall, happiest with a relaxed routine that includes time in the yard, a good game of fetch (she loves playing ball), and the occasional toy. She gets along well with other dogs, and is friendly with both men and women. While she hasn’t been around children yet, her gentle nature suggests she may do well with respectful kids. She does prefer not to be crated, as it causes her some stress, so she would thrive in a home where someone is around more often. At night, she sleeps soundly in a dog bed on the floor but will never turn down an invitation for a little morning cuddle session on the bed—her favorite encore. Dolly has been diagnosed with stage 2 Chronic Kidney Disease, which means her house training is still a work in progress. She’ll need a patient and understanding adopter who can support her as she continues to adjust and manage her condition. She'll need to be kept on medication and special renal food.
