More about Goose

Goose is a charming 10-month-old (estimated) pup who is looking for a family to help his personality truly take flight! He was found as a local stray alongside his wingman, Maverick. Both boys arrived at the shelter quite thin and in need of some extra nutrition and care for their coats. However, this resilient young boy has made incredible strides in his recovery; as he’s already filling out and is getting ready to search for a cozy home to call his own. At just under a year old, he still has the puppy curiosity and a heart full of potential. While Goose can be a bit timid in unfamiliar settings or when meeting new faces, don't let his initial shyness fool you. Once he feels safe, he reveals a genuine zest for life and a goofy, affectionate side that will melt your heart. While we are still getting to know him, he hasn't shown negative behaviors toward other dogs, so we are excited to begin more formal introductions with other potential canine companions soon. We also plan to see how he feels about feline friends in the near future. We eventually did make contact with Goose's previous owner, who is not able to provide for him, and will not be reclaiming Goose. We also learned that Goose's father is Maverick, who is an American Bulldog and the mother is reportedly a Cane Corso Italian Mastiff.  Please submit an online adoption application for Goose if you're interested in setting up an appointment time to meet him.
