More about Clifford
Hi Everyone! I'm Clifford. I'm not the Big Red Dog, I'm just a little guy, and I'll stay that way. I'm very happy about that! I like me just the way I am. In other words, I'm very confident. When I walk into a room, I belong there. But, I don't 'own it'. I share it. I love being with the pack - people and dogs of all shapes and sizes. My favorites are the ones who will play with me. And....snuggle. Boy do I like warm snuggles, warm laps to curl up in (and yes, I fit into most!).Cats. People ask if I'm good with cats. Well, I'm not sure. I haven't met one in person. I have met the native ducks in the yard. They were cool. I didn't want to chase them. Unfortunately, they didn't want to play with me. But that's ok. They flapped their....what do you call them? Wings. And went up into the sky. I'd like to do that. Anyway, back to cats. I think I would like them, too.Am I potty trained? Well, I am trying really hard. I know what to do, I just don't know how to tell you. So, Mom showed me these ringy things on the door. Not sure what I'm supposed to do with them. She'll have to work a little harder, I think. I do sleep all night in my crate, and don't have accidents. My Texas Dad let me sleep in his bed. Massachusetts Mom said nope. It's the crate for you. She gives me a snuggy stuffy dog that has a heartbeat, so when I close my eyes, I feel like I'm snuggled up with my person, and fall fast asleep.During the day, I want to be with the pack. Eat with the pack. Play with the pack. If the human has to work, I'm happy to be on her lap keeping her warm, and coaching her along the way. It's a win-win I'd say.I wonder who will be my furever family. I just know I will meet tham soon! It doesn't matter to me if it's a big house, an apartment, or anything in between. I'll be pretty happy anywhere, as long as there is room for me to get my Zoomies on!!! I like to go outside, but it's cold, and I shiver pretty quickly with this cold, white stuff on the ground. I don't think I'm bound for the Iditarod. Not sure exactly what that is, but there's a whole lot of the cold white stuff, so I'm pretty sure about it. If that's what you're into, I'm sorry, keep scrolling. (I'm very transparent...). I'll be really happy playing in a yard with that warm, soft, green grassy stuff....I forget what it's called. Mom says I'll have to wait a little while for it.Anyway. I hope you like what I have to say about me. I think there is lots to love...so much more that just my little self!! In other words, I'll give more love than you ever thought possible from a 5 pound pup. Heart my profile and apply so maybe, just maybe, you'll be My Furever One and Only!Love,Clifford This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.) To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. PLEASE READ: • If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this. • All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date. • Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments. Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well. Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation. For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.
