More about Daisy

Hi!  My name is Daisy and I am looking for a forever home.  I was pregnant and not living in the best situation when a rescue took me in, got my puppies adopted, and then just left me behind.  Fortunately, another small rescue took me in and asked BCAA if they could help me and they said yes!  I appear to be a mostly dachshund but no one is able to actually say what I might be mixed with.  I am about 2 years old and weigh a little under 25lbs.  I am still pretty shy and skittish but my foster parents are teaching me not everyone is mean and I am slowly coming out of my shell and would love to find a quiet and calm home where I can continue to bloom (another dog who could help show me the ropes would be a bonus).  I've gotten along with the other dogs I have met and haven't paid any attention to the cats I've encountered.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any bedding.  I love my food and take treats gently which will help me to learn to trust.  I probably have never been on a leash before and they do scare me so a fenced yard where I can explore and take care of my business will be needed.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org
