More about Mayfly
Meet Mayfly <3 A gentle soul with the softest eyes and the sweetest heart. Mayfly is a petite 25-lb, 9-month-old lab/pitty mix who is just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be. She’s a shy girl at first—after spending much of her young life on her own or in the shelter, she’s still learning that the world can be safe and kind. But give her a little time and patience, and you’ll get to see something really special. Once Mayfly feels comfortable, her tender, affectionate personality quietly shines through. She may not rush right up to you, but when she chooses you, it’s incredibly rewarding. Those soulful, expressive eyes and that adorable face make it impossible not to cheer her on as she gains confidence each day. She’s doing fantastic with leash walking, kennel time, and potty training, and she loves learning—especially when praise, gentleness, and encouragement are part of the deal. One of the best confidence boosters for Mayfly? Other dogs! She would thrive in a home with a friendly, confident canine companion who can show her the ropes and invite her out to play – she absolutely loves playing with other dogs. Mayfly is looking for a calm, loving home with patient humans who will let her move at her own pace while gently helping her try new things. She’d likely do best with older, dog-savvy kids. Cats are an unknown. This sweet girl is just starting to realize that life can be full of comfort, fun, and love—and she’s ready to blossom with the right family by her side.
