More about Minnie
Miss Minnie is a beautiful and snuggly puppy! This low-rider mix (maybe some Border Collie?) is enjoying learning about her world. Her foster says that Minnie takes an inquisitive and playful stance when seeing animals from afar, and would likely, very much enjoy a well-matched playmate. Minnie would do well in a home where she can be walked with regularity and given playtime and training as she is still very much a puppy. Her foster believes that she wold be fine with respectful kids over five-years old. She can be a "bull in a china shop" at times and would possibly step on or knock over smaller ones. Minnie can be afraid of a quick approach, and needs a stable and calm home, one in which she can feel safe. That being said, she warms up quickly and then sweetly trusts.Minnie will "follow you around and will lean into you or attempt to sit on part of you if you are still," says her foster. She wants to be with her person/people all of the time! She trusts her person and will let him/her take things from her that she shouldn't have. Minnie loves her toys and will run around the house with them, chewing them, tossing them in the air, and bringing them to her foster to engage.Minnie has visited the foster's neighbor, who has a cat, and although it was sleeping upstairs Minnie sniffed all of the cat stuff (beds, scratch pads, etc) with casual interest…..far different than the fixed, assertive stance she takes when near the scent of a squirrel, so she may be able to cohabitate with felines, but we are not yet sure.A townhouse or house would work best, as Minnie loves to run and roam. Minnie's foster believes that an apartment would not be ideal, unless her person worked from home and could offer her good, long walks morning, noon, evening, and night. She would otherwise need a fenced yard and ideally, a playmate. Minnie has a lot of energy and her foster believes that hound in her will stray if not properly housed and exercised.Minnie's foster believes that this pretty girl was previously spoiled- on laps, in bed with her people, fed table scraps, etc. as she loves attention and treats! Will you be the person to play, snuggle, and treat this young and beautiful Border Collie/hound mix like a princess?PAW adopts in the MD, northern VA, DC, southern PA region.
