In a previous home, Ruby has done well with other, large dogs (with proper introductions). They also mentioned that she is crate trained and generally does very well with people. She does not do well with cats and needs a home without cats or other small animals so that everyone stays safe. She can be a bit nervous at first, but she warms up pretty quickly and loves getting attention from people.Foster notes on Ruby:`Ruby was a true sweetheart, she gave kisses and loved to cuddle. She’s built like a machine and enjoyed walking and running, though she jumped a bit when she runs, and zig zags when she walks. She really enjoys pup cups from starbucks and sitting in the front seat. She warms up to people very quickly and is curious about strangers and other dogs. We went through the starbucks drive through for multiple pup cups, then headed to Merritt’s pasture for a walk and some running. She insisted on sitting in the front seat of the car, and was very calm once she settled down. She’s so strong, but gentle. Gives lots of kisses and love!!!``Ruby is such a sweet and cuddly girl. She took a few minutes to warm up to us, but very quickly began to beg for cuddles. She LOVES cuddling on the couch and considers herself a lap dog. If someone is sitting on the couch, Ruby will immediately jump up. She also loves to sleep next to you and will somehow find a way to have her head under a blanket. Yet at the same time, she is always ready for playtime or a walk. She's truly the best of both worlds and can quickly adapt to your mood.Additionally, Ruby knows her name, responds effectively to commands like `sit` and `go crate`. She is crate trained but may whine briefly. She never chews on anything that isn't hers and waits very patiently for food.Ruby may bark when strangers approach her, but quickly warms up when introduced in the house.`
