Meet MerrinA 2-year-old German Shepherd with soulful brown eyes and a heart as big as his paws. Around 60 pounds, he’s the perfect mix of playful adventure buddy and lovable cuddle companion.Merrin is housebroken, walks nicely on leash, and takes treats politely. He loves fetch, belly rubs, and snuggle time, and he’s friendly with other dogs. He greets people—including kids—with a wagging tail and happy curiosity, though he sometimes gets so excited he jumps up to say hello. He just has a lot of love to give!His former family described him as “an amazing dog who needs a lot of space,” and that fits him well. Merrin would thrive in a home with room to run and people who enjoy spending time with their dog. He does have some separation anxiety and may whine when left alone, so he’s looking for a family who can offer patience, reassurance, and companionship.Merrin is not a fan of water—baths are not his favorite activity.
