He’s already mastered the "big dog" basics: he is both house trained and crate trained, making his transition into your home a breeze. A Note on Noah’s Health: Noah is currently heartworm positive, but don't let that scare you! Heartworms are not contagious to other pets or people, and Noah is currently beginning his journey to being 100% healthy. What treatment looks like: Medicine: Noah will undergo a series of injections (and usually a round of antibiotics) to eliminate the heartworms. Treatment costs are covered by the rescue. The "Slow Life": The most important part of his recovery is keeping him calm and quiet during treatment—think "leash walks only" and lots of mental stimulation like puzzle toys instead of high-speed chasing.
