Nigiri has been patiently waiting for over four months, watching his friends head off to their forever homes… and wondering when it will finally be his turn. This sweet 10-year-old Maltese mix may be small (just 10 pounds!), but his heart is huge.   Nigiri is the definition of a “Velcro dog”—he loves being close to his person and will happily follow you from room to room, just to keep you company. Or is retired and wants to take Nigiri with them when they run errands, etc.   Nigiri does have diabetes, which means he needs insulin injections twice a day. But don’t let that scare you—he takes them like an absolute champ, with zero fuss. He’s cooperative, gentle, and makes it easy to care for him.
