More about Half Pint

_________ B I O ______________  Name: Half Pint  Size:  ~Medium range: 26-60 lbs  Adoption Donation: $250 (applicable sales tax included).  Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check.   Other:  Spayed Female, Vaccinations current, Microchip, No Apartments, Older/Considerate Children Only   Half Pint would love to spend her days with you!   Foster Home Feedback  ** No Apartments, Older/considerate children only 3/4/2026 Foster Feedback: Half Pint continues to be such a joy in our home.  She wakes up every morning like it’s the best day ever, tail wagging and ready to see what’s next.  She is potty trained and doing great overall.   While the kennel isn’t her favorite place, she’ll go in when needed.  Most of the time however she has free roam of the main floor with our resident dogs and does great. She only chews on her own toys and hasn’t bothered a thing she shouldn’t. She absolutely adores other dogs and would love a forever home with a canine buddy.   Half Pint has never met a dog she didn’t like- she makes instant best friends and doesn’t need any warm-up time.   She’s also very dog-savvy and adjusts her play style depending on what the other dog prefers, which is really sweet to see. Half Pint loves being outside (even in the cold, which is impressive for her short coat!) and is just the perfect size — not too small, not too big, just right.  She currently sleeps on our bed and fits just fine without taking over, but with a little consistency, I’m sure she’d happily sleep on a dog bed nearby. Half Pint is truly a wonderful, well-rounded pup who’s ready for a forever home to call her own. She has so much love to give and will make a fantastic addition to a lucky family.   3/2/26 Temporary Care Feedback:  From the moment I met Half Pint it was truly love at first sight. I had the privilege of puppy‑sitting her, and she is everything you hope for in a companion. She’s a perfect medium‑sized dog with those striking “big dog” looks, and an even bigger heart. Half Pint was wonderfully friendly with everyone in the household—people and dogs alike. She played beautifully and respectfully with all of them: Rudy Gobert, my foster pup, my smaller boxer mix, and even another visiting female pittie foster. Her gentle play style is exactly what my soft‑hearted dog needs, and she reads other dogs so well. Half Pint is fully potty trained and slept in bed with me every night, curled up quietly without a single peep. During the day, she’d hop into my lap to cuddle while I watched TV, happy just to be close. Her forever family is going to be incredibly lucky. Half Pint is affectionate, easygoing, social, and full of love—truly the kind of dog who makes a home feel complete.     8/27/25 Foster Feedback: Meet Half Pint or as we call her, Penny. This sweet and silly pup is our current foster and she’s full of adorableness and classic puppy antics. Half Pint loves to romp around with her foster brother and sister — playtime is certainly one of her favorites. However after a good play session or walk, she’s more than happy to curl up for a cuddle. She’s got the perfect balance of playful energy and snuggly sweetness.   She’s not the biggest fan of the kennel, so we let her roam freely when we are gone and she’s done really great so far.  We do have baby gates setup, so she limited to the main floor.  At night, Half Pint sleeps on our bed and is an A+ cuddler.  She’s small enough to scoot to the corner when you need your space.   Half Pint is almost fully potty trained and making great progress! With a consistent schedule, I’ll think she’ll be 100% in no time.   She also loves going for walks and does really well on a leash.   One of her cutest traits is her “army crawls”.   Sometimes if she is going somewhere where she shouldn’t or where I don’t want to go on the leash, she will start army crawling.  I think she believes it’s her invisibility cloak and no one can see her.   It’s both adorable and funny!   Half Pint  would thrive in a home that has love, hugs, and a little patience as she finishes learning the ropes.
