Wally is a 3-year-old Isabella Standard Dachshund weighing 20 pounds, and he’s ready to find his forever family. After spending a few weeks wandering the streets as a stray, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan brought him to safety and did everything possible to locate his owner. Sadly, no one came forward—so now Wally is starting a brand-new chapter. Wally is an affectionate boy who truly loves his people. He forms strong bonds and can be a little protective of those he cares about most, making him a loyal companion. He does have a strong Dachshund personality, so he is looking for an experienced owner. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playtime with his canine friends. Wally would do best in a home without cats or small children, where he can feel secure and relaxed. He is crate trained and settles in nicely, especially when he knows he’s safe. This charming little guy is ready to hang up his backpack and running shoes and settle into the forever home he deserves.
