More about Rubble

Meet Rubble!Rubble is a tank of a dog - so large breed experience preferred.  Rubble was abandoned by his previous owner.  He came in with some skin issues, fear, and anxiety.  He is is making great progress both with his physical health and training since becoming a Diamond.Rubble is a giant puppy with lots of energy.  Rubble still needs a lot of training and confidence building.  A perfect home would include no children under ten (10) years old, and someone who is calm and patient, as well as ready to put a lot of time into training and provide him adequate exercise.  Rubble is highly food motivated, which makes training a breeze! He is very vocal when he is not getting attention- something being worked on, however some separation anxiety could creep up in a home environment.Rubble can present with uncertainty with new people.  It is something volunteers are working on him with - he can take time to "warm up" however, he also needs support in making good decisions in the long run.  Good news, once he has bonded with you, it's BFF.Rubble is not reactive to other dogs and seems to be indifferent being around other dogs. However, he's a bit socially awkward when trying to play and his size/power could be overwhelming for some other dogs due to his apparent cluelessness of his own size and strength. Slow intros and down time will likely help with acclimating him with the resident dog as he has a genuine interest, however, still needs to learn how to "dog" with other dogs.  Additionally, Rubble would do best with a female dog, no small dogs or cats.  History unknown, however, he can be a passive jerk to male dogs.  However, Rubble would also thrive being your one and only!At this time we are still learning more about Rubble and once he is more settled can update.
